AVENTURINE, A RARE AND EXCLUSIVE MATERIAL
Aventurine is a very fine material and therefore quite delicate to work with, which explains its relative rarity in watchmaking and its popularity with collectors and timepiece enthusiasts. There is a high risk of breakage and cracking, and using it for a complete dial requires patience and dexterity on the part of our watchmakers during assembly. Finally, we select only the finest dials, according to criteria of colour, depth and brilliance.
BETWEEN MYTHS AND MYSTERIES
The exact period of its creation and the identity of the person who discovered it or perfected its manufacturing process remain unclear, not to say unknown, shrouding aventurine in a veil of mystery.
While some believe that aventurine dates back to ancient Egypt, the most common rumour has it that it was discovered by chance in the 17th century on the island of Murano, near Venice, famous for its intricate work and mastery of glass-blowing. It is said to have originated there as a result of a glassmaker's clumsy handling of copper filings, which he accidentally dropped - "all'avvenura" - into the traditional incandescent mixture of silica, soda and lime.

The oscillating weight has been completely reworked, with particularly meticulous finishing - polished chamfers, micro-blasted and brushed alternations, and deep markings - giving the whole a highly technical aesthetic.
